MDA SHIELD

The Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD contract vehicle, which stands for Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense, is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract designed to support complex missile defense and related technical mission requirements. Official SAM.gov notices describe SHIELD as a multiple-award IDIQ established to provide flexible access to a broad range of capabilities supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s mission.

Through this vehicle, the Missile Defense Agency can procure specialized support across systems engineering, modeling and simulation, cyber support, software development, test and evaluation, mission engineering, and program management support. This structure enables the agency to efficiently access qualified industry partners for advanced technical, engineering, and mission support services aligned with evolving defense priorities.
