John Epperly
Chief operating officer
John Epperly is DirectViz Solutions’ Chief Operations Officer where he leads all client service delivery operations as well as several corporate services. John is also responsible for profit/loss on all client programs.
John has nearly thirty years of leadership experience in corporate America in both the federal and commercial sectors where he has led everything from small 8(a) companies to strategic business units in large companies.
John has deep business management experience in several industries including cybersecurity and IT service management as well as secure software development, artificial intelligence, aerospace and defense manufacturing, telecommunications and management consulting.
Prior to joining DVS, John served in several senior leadership positions at Booz Allen Hamilton, MCI Telecommunications, Elbit Systems of America, DMI, Coalfire and Audley Consulting Group. John also has extensive international business experience in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
In addition to John’s corporate leadership and accomplishments, he has also served over 34 years in the U.S. Army as an armor and infantry officer rising to the rank of Major General in the Virginia Army National Guard. John led Soldiers in combat during two deployments to Iraq and the Arabian Gulf Region.
He also commanded the 29th Infantry Division comprised of over 18,000 Soldiers. John further served as a policy advisor on the U.S. Army Staff where he was Chairman of the Army Reserve Forces Policy Committee (ARFPC).
John holds a BS Degree in General Engineering and International Relations from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MBA in Finance from Drexel University and an MS In Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. John is also a credentialed Project Management Professional (PMP).
